KEF Cricket traces its origins to 1998, when members in Kuwait initiated an inter-alumni taped-ball cricket tournament in memory of Prof. Ramachandran. Named the RMC – Prof. Ramachandran Memorial Cricket Tournament, it brought together six alumni associations in its inaugural year, marking the beginning of a lasting sporting tradition within the KEF fraternity.
With evolving times and formats, TECAL Kuwait has taken the initiative to carry forward this rich legacy by introducing a contemporary IPL-style tournament titled the TEC Challengers Cup. Featuring club-based teams and player auctions, the tournament—now in its 3rd season—aims to preserve the enthusiasm of earlier years while offering a fresh, professional structure to KEF’s long-standing cricket culture.
Founded in 1989, Kuwait Engineers Forum (KEF) stands as one of the most respected and well-established engineering communities in Kuwait. The forum represents engineers originating from the state of Kerala, India, who are professionally engaged across diverse engineering disciplines in Kuwait.
Over the years, KEF has grown into a vibrant network of more than 1,200 engineers and their families, promoting professional excellence, knowledge sharing, and social responsibility. Beyond professional interaction, KEF serves as a strong cultural and social platform that nurtures unity, mutual support, and a sense of belonging among its members.
To strengthen lifelong connections beyond geographical boundaries, KEF Global was established as an extended network of the forum. KEF Global brings together NRI engineers who have returned from Kuwait and are now settled in Kerala, India, enabling continued collaboration, mentorship, and community engagement.
With a legacy spanning over three decades, KEF remains committed to empowering engineers, supporting families, and contributing positively to both the host country of Kuwait and the home state of Kerala.
